🔋 Battery Health & Charging

Your scooter’s battery is its powerhouse. Proper care will maximize its lifespan and performance.

Tip Your new scooter will arrive with a partial charge. Ride it until the battery reaches 5-10% before performing your first full charge cycle.

Tip Always charge in a cool, dry environment. Never charge for more than 7 hours at a time. Never leave your scooter charging in direct sunlight. Do not leave it unattended overnight.

Tip If you plan to store your scooter for an extended period, fully charge the battery beforehand to maintain its health during storage.

🚫 Brake System Integrity

Responsive brakes are your most critical safety feature. Depending on how frequently you ride, inspect your brake system regularly for wear and tear.

🔧 General Maintenance & Upkeep

Important Never ride your e-scooter without inspecting it first. Confirm your handlebars are secure and not loose. Check that all components are tightened to the frame. This includes fenders and body panels.

Your scooter comes with a small tool kit containing Allen wrenches. Keep this kit accessible so you can make minor adjustments on the go. Failure to tighten loose components could result in damage to the scooter or injury to the rider.

The salty air in the Bahamas can accelerate corrosion. We strongly recommend spraying your e-scooter with WD-40 regularly. This protects metal components from Nassau’s salty air. It also keeps your ride looking pristine.

🔒 Proper Storage

When storing your e-scooter, always unplug the battery and keep it in a cool, dry location. Do not leave it on the charger when not in use, as this can degrade battery performance over time.

If you must store your scooter outdoors, use a quality weather-resistant cover. This protects it from rain, dirt, and the elements. A small investment in a good cover will save you significant maintenance costs in the long run.

While our scooters are built to be durable, wet conditions demand extra caution. Wet surfaces reduce traction and increase the risk of skidding — apply brakes gently and avoid sudden maneuvers.

Avoid deep puddles and potholes, which can submerge critical components and cause loss of control. Ride slowly, stay alert, and always wear a high-quality helmet. If you regularly ride on public roads, consider upgrading to a DOT-certified helmet for maximum protection.

E-scooters are very quiet — a great advantage. But this also means other drivers may not hear you coming. Use your horn proactively in traffic. Use your horn proactively when passing or navigating through traffic, and always be mindful of vehicle blind spots.
